Pane is designed with your privacy in mind. We believe your notes are personal and should stay that way.

Data Collection

Pane does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics. Your notes are yours alone.

iCloud Sync

If you use iCloud, your notes are synced through Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and is not accessible to us or any third party. Apple's iCloud is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Analytics & Tracking

Pane does not include any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising frameworks. We do not track how you use the app. There are no cookies, no fingerprinting, no telemetry.

Local Storage

All note data is stored locally on your device using Core Data. If iCloud is enabled, this data is also synced to your private iCloud container. We never have access to this data.

Third-Party Services

Pane does not integrate with any third-party services. No data leaves your device except through Apple's iCloud sync, which you control.

Calendar Access

If you use the reminders feature, Pane requests access to your calendar through Apple's EventKit framework. Calendar events are created locally and synced through your iCloud Calendar account. We do not access or store your calendar data.

Children's Privacy

Pane does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app does not require any personal information to function.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
